Lead bullet lube ,is more better ?

Will be reloading 9mm with lead only not washed or jacketed.
Is it a good idea to apply extra lube to reduce barrel lead fouling?
I'm using Missouri Bullets that have lube in the groove is that enough ?

yes that should be enough, the best thing to keep leading down is to make sure they are the right size and keep the speed down around 1100 FPS

I cast my own and have found the best size for my guns are .357.

edit to add: more lube will give you more smoke

Q: What was the most positive result of the "Cash for Clunkers" program?
A: It took 95% of the Obama bumper stickers off the road.

HP-38 mostly for my 9MM, but right now I would use whatever I could find.

more isn't always "better". The correct lube is more effective than more of the wrong lube.

Proper alloy and proper sizing is actually MORE important than lube choice.
Generally speaking, softer is better, except in rifles.

Gas checks are needed for magnum type loads. There are for more than just preventing lead vaporization under slow heavy charges. They are designed to prevent over-deformation of the bullet base.

When it comes to lube, it is like alchemy. Each wizard has his own special brew. Read up on it..
