For my L1A1 7.62 NATO was preferred. .308 brass took a beating and stretched quicker than the mil spec brass. The other thing if your brass needs trimming after one or two uses you may have a 'headspacing' issue.

I have a 223 possum hallow trimmer that is not getting used in my toolbox.... $26 bucks and it could be yours..

It will come with the Power adapter so you can just chuck it to a cordless drill or drill press and trim away.

3 seconds each suggest using @ high on a drill press 3000 rpm ^^

It's mixed headstamo, if you don't trim your crimps are too inconsistent to use.
