anyone familiar with samson ammo?

a year an a half ago, i back ordered a case of FEDERAL 5.56mm XM193 RIFLE AMMUNITION from brownell's for about $325. we all know what happened after that. the order was never filled. to their credit, brownell's has kept my order on file and has stayed in communication. they could have easily just made my order disappear, but they did not.

fast forward to now. i just got an e-mail from them offering me a case of samson 5.56 at the same price. anyone familar with this stuff? is it any good? or just garbage. i'm in no hurry and could easily wait for the federal 5.56 for another year or two. what to you think?

IMI Samson are good ammo. Go for it. I've shot their 9mm and 5.56 many years ago and no issues.

Samson is probably IWI now (instead of IMI), in either case it's good stuff... How many cases are you buying?

i am only allowed the one that i had backordered. just called and place my order. i had all of this backordered since nov 25, 2012. the total, with my 10% discount, came out to $328.95.
