For long range hunting, hell yes!! It will be the most precise pullet ever made.

Cool. Just never heard of it.

I think most if not all of the 50 bmg records at 1000 yards were set with monolithic solids.
They require a barrel with a different land to groove ratio than jacketed bullets as they don't engrave the rifling the same.
      McMurdo makes some good bullets.

      Not a commercial business.
URSA - Competition starts at 2000 yards!

You may be right about the current records but, many previous records were set with Amax.

If you proceed, remember to add grooves. As no grooves = off the chart high pressure from articles in trade and reloading publications.

Or, better yet, don't add groves and add driving bands instead. Yea, I'm talking about boreriders.

Thanks for all the help, I have alot to think about. I may switch up and try this in a m44 it seems less risky/cheaper if i make a mistake.

You might speak with one of the .338 lapua shooters or 408, 416 or 50'bmg

Those bullets are a lot more money than .224 projectiles if you are looking to resell your items.

With the CA lead ban being rolled out for hunting in the state, you might find an interesting and profitable niche in making lead free for hunters.
Rule 1- ALL GUNS ARE ALWAYS LOADED

Rule 2 -NEVER LET THE MUZZLE COVER ANYTHING YOU ARE NOT PREPARED TO DESTROY (including your hands and legs)

Rule 3 -KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER UNTIL YOUR SIGHTS ARE ON THE TARGET

Rule 4 -BE SURE OF YOUR TARGET AND WHAT IS BEYOND IT
