wolf quality control

So I was looking through my 7.62x39 box of ammo and found a wolf round with a completely smashed in hollow point. A friend of mine bought a box of hp and half of them were fmj. Anybody have similar experiences?

ive had several that had a chunk of somthing inside them that rattled

i'm wondering if someone just mixed up and repacked a box

i cant remember do those come in a stapled wrap in a box or just a box with little papers separating every row

things happen.. i had the same happen with some lake city 5.56 ammo. smashed bullet.. had one looked like it when through a angle grinder. half the bullet was shaved off.

I believe Wolf is just an importer and doesn't manufacture anything. Wolf is made by Tula, no?

Haha I knew their QC was bad but not that bad.


My 1,500 of WPA x39 FMJ had no issues.

Yep, Wolf's the importer. The cartridges themselves are made at both the Tula Cartrudge Works and the Ulyanovsk Cartridge Works. Generally the QC's better than that...odd.....
