Whats the diff between these two ammo?

Just bought 2 boxes of federal ammo and they came out of the same "brown box" but are different tone of color.

any difference?

Who cares about labeling. Where you get the ammo from? Same stuff.

One box is from the beginning of a printing run, when the ink was full, and the other is from the end, where the ink was running low.

I have already thrown out about five bricks of these fake federal boxes. It's a real ****ing problem i tell ya.

The label is supposed to be blood red, not sun burnt chili

Lot 2 boxes probably ran out and they switched to lot 3 which had a different print tint. Or they topped off box loaded #1 with a different lot of boxes with brighter labels.

It means the Quality Assurance folks made a mistake and let "non-standard" packaging through the production process and out into the wild.

Back when I was a Serviceability Design Engineer for a major communications equipment company, this sort of small deviation would have resulted in several weeks worth of cross-functional multiple business unit meetings in order to affix blame and punish someone.

We called those happy occasions "BAM", for Blame Assessment Meetings. It was something to see - manufacturing, engineering, sales, marketing, product support..... they all had their dogs and ponies on parade.
