    223 and 45 bullet question

I'm looking on line for 223 bullets, and I see "22 caliber 224 diameter, and for 45 it said .451 diameter, is it ok to use the 224 diameter for my reloads for my AR and the .451 for use in a 1911?

P.S Thanks for putting up with all my questions guys!

You can also use lead bullets that are sized at .452 for your 1911.

Bullets are generally one thousands of an inch bigger than the barrel to ensure a good seal and the rifling grabs the projectile.

            Where is your reloading manual?
            Yes they are correct.
A 30cal will reach out and touch them. A 50cal will kick their butt.
