    Reloader 15

Anyone know what the deal is with Reloader 15?

I have been searching and on back order lists for over a year. Can't find it anywhere.

    Down to 1lb!

Sorry dude, I see re15 in stock less than I see Varget. It's a great powder.

Natchez has reloader 10x in stock right now. I've never used it and I don't know what you're loading. Just throwing it out there

How many places are you checking? I've seen it many times during my hunt.

Powder Valley does not have it in stock. I have been told by my guy that Alliant has not release this powder in some time. Any found will be surplus. I have been looking for a few weeks and can't find it anywhere.

Just bought 8 pounds of RL 15 this morning from powder valley. I was gonna post it here but it already sold out. It becomes available but you just have to keep looking.

I did not know that RL15 came in 8 lb kegs. I always thought it came in either 1 lb tubs, or 5 lb kegs.

But alas ... I have not been able to lay my hands on ANY RL15 for about a year now. I snap any and all of it up any time I see it for sale.

RL15 = 203B (always, same plant, same truck, different labels)
ARCOMP = RL15 with a different surface treatment to make it more temperature insensitive, which had the byproduct of making it slower (closer to varget).

I had no idea it came in 8lb kegs either... unless he means he bought 8-1lb bottles.

milo, so they're really the same powder? Thanks for that. Guess i'll start looking for it as well.

Yes they are not "IMR4350/H4350 compatible" they are IMR4350/IMR4350 same.

I did not know this. I will keep an eye out for the other powders.

                          Thanks!

                            From reliable source;

Reloader #7 & #15 are made in Sweden thats what it says on the package and has for as long as I've been buying it and I assume so are all the other Reloader brands. The Swedish firm of Nobel Chemicals is divide into two division Bofors and Nobel Industries.

Bofors makes mostly materials related to the military while Nobel make the product line for the commercial market. Nobel manufactured the Norma brand of powders as well as another line of smokeless powder used in Europe known as Rottweil. Reloader #15 is an improved version of a powder sold in the US that was known as Norma N203 it's now called Norma 203B but they are not exactly the same and the appropriate load data should be used.

Why do we not make more powder here?
                              (Thanks Obama?)
