Shot my first reloads today

This is the best thing ever. It has doubled the fun I will have with firearms.

Shot about 70 rounds of reloads all functioned 100%

Loads felt all under power except my highest.
230 gr hornady fmj rn 45acp projectiles
Winchester lpp
Once fired CCI brass
IMR SR-4756 at 6.2, 6.5, and 6.7 gr
COAL-1.260"
Mouth diameter- 0.470"

6.2 gr was hitting my face and chest with brass. Cycled gun 100% but felt underpowered

6.5 gr shot the brass about 5 o'clock and felt more powerful.

6.7 gr was more accurate than the CCI blazer brass and WWB factory ammo I brought!! the brass shot about 4 o'clock. Felt less powerful than WWB and CCI BB.

None that I could tell. Seemed like they were extracting ok. Ejection improved up at 6.7 gr.
Primers looked ok.
The pin strike looked bigger on 6.5 and 6.7 gr than 6.2 gr. is that because the case is pushed harder against the pin with more powder?

I fired factory CCI ammo before and the primers looked very similar at 6.7 gr

I think your assumption is correct.

My book says you can take it up to 7.0 for that powder, but I wouldn't. I prefer to leave a little room on the top end for safety sake.
