I also use Extreme Bullets. I called Extreme and they recommended using the Speer reloading manual for their bullets.

Help creating 9mm recipe.

I have found my 92FS likes 5.0gr with OAL at 1.150. Easy to remember.
Over that accuracy starts falling.
I really don't see how 6.3 at 1.125 would even fit without compressing the powder as Alliant suggests.
I know one thing, don't load to many low starting loads. Stove pipes all around.Comment

Well I loaded 100 rounds today.
I decided to stick with 5.0grs of unique but varied the length.
25 each at the following lengths:
1.150
1.140
1.130
and 1.110
Skipped 1.120 just to see how much of a diff I could feel between 1.130 and 1.110
Going to go out Saturday and test them out. I am going to try to get a chronograph to see the differences in velocity.Don't run. You'll just die tired.

XVIga_Rob: 4.9 Grains @ 1.162-1.164" (Pretty much the same as i did)
Have you compared this to the way factory ammo feels? Tried shooting it at steel plates and how well it knocks it over?
I only shot at paper to see accuracy and felt recoil. Will be shooting at steel on Saturday coming up.
Since these are the recipes you guys use they must be accurate enough for what you are doing.
gemoose23: The Lymans only has 115gr HP listed at 4.4-5.8grs. OAL at 1.090. Kinda lame that they don't list one of the most commonly used bullets; The 115gr FMJ.
I have & use the same Lymans book. I use the measurements (OAL, crimp, etc.) from the diagram on the 1st page. I found that both 4.9 & 5.2 grains of Unique, with the Berry's 115gr RN worked very well in my gun (Kahr P9). Both cycled well & had tight groups. The 5.2gr had a little more noticeable power & flash. The only steel I've shot is a piece of AR500, hanging by 2 chains.Comment

5.3 Unique with a 115gr plated RN. OAL 1.14. Has worked well for me.
Unique is an extruded powder, it really fills up a case. Great for new reloaders, I feel, because if you double charge a 9mm case it overflows."Hence it happened that all the armed prophets conquered, all the unarmed perished." - Niccolo MachiavelliComment

For the Xtreme 115rn I use 5.7-5.8 grains of unique.Comment

So I tested my rounds and all cycled my gun and all had velocities between 1000 and 1200 fps. I liked the ones i had set OAL @ 1.110" the best with average velocity at 1150 out of a 4.25" barrel.
I loaded up 125 like this and on Sunday used them in a USPSA match at Prado.
Overall they were very accurate for my skill level (which isn't very high lol). I think I will stick with this length.
Thanx for all the help guys!!!
