pretty amazing accuracy from my savage, actually. And not very many lead free bullets above 250 grains anyways, if that is your thing too.

Uneducated? Try researching and spending some time learning before reloading for the OP. Not asking other people questions you should know from research yourself. Ive seen A LOT of accidents from people at ranges the last few years. 99% are new reloaders. I almost got messed from a newbe with bad reloads.... Not too happy.

I don't understand. Cypriss, you are suggesting that people who use H4350 in 338 lapua shouldn't reload at all, now suggesting it is because they are ignorant and perform no research on their own. Yet "research" via the hodgdon website suggests that H4350 is a-OK for use in 338 lapua for light bullets.

Your claim is very strongly worded and will invariably offend some folks, and yet your justification to back it up makes no sense when referenced with published load data.

On that note. Pleasing people I know isnt my thing....... Saving someone from being hurt is just a very nice thing to do. A case full of varget in that lapua will ruin his and possibly some other poor souls day.

I guess Im wrong again with what I said. UNEDITED, Edited for N579 to N570.

Noone said to use unmeasured volumes of any powder. We're all adults here, Cypriss, we understand the difference between reading/interpreting/using load data, and indiscriminately filling a case to the bottom of the neck with powder and plunking a bullet on top.

WOW I step away for a few days and we have a fight on our hands, not what I was looking for when I first posted.

Shake hands and go have a beer, on me.

yep, h1000, retumbo, 7828 would all be good powders, and even some of the 50bmg-type would serve you well. varget is too fast and would likely produce lousy results, especially with heavier bullets. I wouldn't go any faster than 4831.
