My error PCA is PCA Spectrum, manufactured by Natec

          Ignore below

PCA is Polytech Ammunition Company, of Minden, Louisiana, U.S.A. They went out of business but were trying to reorganize. I understand they were given a grant by the USDA to develop this ammo because the projectile and case is free of lead.

          See the patent at: http://www.freepatentsonline.com/7204191.pdf

Ewwww! Along with the black, they have other pretty Easter egg colors!!

Looks like the company is out of business though.

Probably doesn't re-size well and I can't see getting plastic to make a good crimp. The bullets are probably glued in there.

I have some of this ammo that was given to me as test samples by a LGS I did lots of business with. You can pull the bullets out by hand...

Because the bullets could be pulled out and re-seated by hand, I'm keeping it for use in a Handi-rifle.

I was assuming it was steel because my magnet picked it up with about fifty other pcs of steel, evidently it was just stuck in the pile on the magnet.

I went back and got out the magnet and the magnifying specs and sure enuff it is polymer over brass.

1st one I've seen, but I don't get out much unsupervised.

                        thanks for the replies guys,

I am always on the site and someone had a link to the site that sold the stuff. Just a wild guess tho.

2:52 am can't sleep because my blasted teeth.

So like a good CL member I went out in the garage and sorted thru the rest of that range brass and that plastic case was the only one in the bunch.

found a 100 or so brass .40 s&w that I don't reload for, anybody want to trade for some .357mag/38spcl.

I think Mr. Blu did a review of some polymer-bodied ammo similar to what you described OP. maybe some type of precursor?
