US 869 load data for 223/5.56

I was wondering if anyone has used this as a 223 powder. I'm going to use it for my magnum calibers. Just curious.

It is made for the 50 BMG so its probably way too slow for the 223.

Totally the wrong powder for the 223. Works in the 50bmg. Unless you have one of the very overbore cartridges it is not a good choice for most mags.
A 30cal will reach out and touch them. A 50cal will kick their butt.

For a 7mm rem mag using heavy bullets cause I have not seen any reloader 19 in over a year and I am now out. So I need a alternative. I was just hoping I could use it for 233. Oh well. Thanks for the input.

The place in Oakdale has powder. There are several which work well in the 7mag. If you only need a little I might have enough to spare some.

I have 4 lbs of 4831 if you need some. Great powder for 7mm Mag. I don't think I would consider putting 869 in a .223.

according to Hodgdon, powders 70-103 are the .223 range, 869 is number 144/145. waaaaaay too slow.

I would be using the 869 for my magnum loads
