I'd take it up in .2g increments and look for signs of pressure (I believe your getting close to max?).

I am using 3.6g of PB with 115 Extreme RN (1.100) and they cycle well...

What weight/type bullet? What are you seating them to?

I am not sure how to measue the seat, the bullet is a 115 grain fmj
i brought some factory fedeal 115 grain bullets with me and they felt to have alot more recoil to them. overall lenth of bullet is right on the money.

Have you checked OAL to see if its where they recommend?

My IMR booklet sez 4.8gr PB with 115gr as a max in 9mm Luger.

I tried PB as well per a recommendation from the LGS shooting 115gr plated Xtremes out of a Glock 17 and the 3.8 wouldn't cycle, 4.0 had issues at times too...i went all the way up to 4.2, 4.4. and 4.6 with no cycling issues. Accuracy did well for me at 4.4 and 4.6.

My notes say that I got my data from the Hodgdon website (max of about 3.7g)... I just looked it up there to confirm and it's still the same.

Out of curiosity, what's your book say for COL? How old is your book?

My Hodgdons # 26 dated 1995 sez 5.0 hrs & my Sierra 2nd edition copyright 1975 sez 5.2grs. I'd just just work towards the 4.8 load & get the gun running reliably see where I wanted to go from there.
