I asked for a RCBS but the missus could only find a Lyman Turbo Tumbler by the time she finally got and about. When I opened it she told me it was the only she could find locally, I would have wait until May for the one I sent the link for and our LGS said this one was better. She kept the receipt, should I take it back and spend the $80 elsewhere or all they all pretty much the same? It looks kinda small. Or is that what you get at that price point?

Brass tumblers

I think that the lyman is the best tumbler out there. I have the PRO 1200 and love it. I have run it for days at a time processing 5 gallon buckets of brass and it works great.Good friends will come bail you out of jail. A best friend will be sitting next to you in the cell saying damn that was fun! -
Thumler Tumblers are the best one's out there. I have a couple Thumler's and an Olsen Tumbler but, I doubt you can find an Olsen anywhere. If I needed another vibratory tumbler and didn't want to pop for a Thumler's, I'd get a Lyman. I will never get another Dillon, Frankford Arsenal or a Harbor Freight tumbler.Last edited by CSACANNONEER; 01-03-2014, 6:46 PM.NRA Certified Pistol, Rifle, Shotgun and Metallic Cartridge Reloading Instructor

lymans are great tumblers, been running the hell out of mine for years.Comment

Thumler's Ultra Vibe 18 Tumbler. 20 years of use and still works great.Comment

My Lyman works great, pull the dump plug, and the media empties right out, the rattling brass makes a heck of a racket though. Been wet tumbling for a couple months now, like the results better. It does take a bit more effort.sigpic

Another +1 of the Thimblers Tumbler being the best of all tumblers.
Always wanted one but a good chunk of coin. That said for the price and what I've gotten from it my $35 Harbor Freight tumbler has done me good this far.Comment

I like my Franklin. Cost me $15 (used) - sounds like it's gonna blow up at any minute... Does a hellova job tho.
I started with Lyman cob, sometimes add a little Brasso.
I don't care if the brass is all that shiney - I just want all brass to be similiar in color without carbon.
