I'm a dummy, Barnes XDP bullet purchase

I'm such a dummy. I bought a small expensive box of 140 gr. Barnes XPD all copper .357 bullets without checking if they can be loaded for 38 sp +p and I just found out they cannot. The heaviest is 110 gr.

I wanted the heaviest all copper bullets for this hunting season.

So, I can't use these bullets and whats worse is that I opened the box to see what they look like plus I bought another 100 box of 140 gr. magsafe bullets so I can load up some practise rounds to get used to shooting 140gr bullets.

Who else has reloading supplies that they cannot use becuase they didn't check for load data before ordering?

I helped a guy out by buying a couple of boxes of 158 grain wadcutters that he ordered thinking he scored a great deal on ammo. Instead, he just got the bullets he paid for.

not sure if dummy is right, but all reloaders have some supplys they do not want or need.

Just shoot them in a 357.

No, I sold my 357 mag but I do have a 642.

Oh, I also have 1 lb of winchester powder that I got for relaoding my 308 winchester but I sold it before I got to load some ammo for it...another unused reloading item.

You need an attitude adjustment. You never have loading supplies you can't use. You just need a new .357!

Besides, I believe a 140 Gr. Barnes load could be worked up for your .38. If it will handle +P it must be a good gun. Use 158 Grn. jacketed starting loads, work up slow and mic your case heads.
