    Safe container for storing powder

Who makes a container one pound size for storing powder. I presume it will need to be made or a dark plastic of some kind and have a screw on cap.

I've got empties from powder long past. See if someone near you will save empties for you. That way you don't have to buy them.

You don't have any empty powder containers?
I'd give you one for free, but it appears you aren't very near by...

Thank I appreciate that. I have some friends in my gun club that would like to try some of a powder I have been using. I did not want to use old containers because the manufactures say not to do so, I'm sure for liability reasons.

I don't want to put myself in a position for anyone to say I did anything wrong.

I usually just take the labels off of my old containers if I'm going to share powders among friends.

If you've got a backpacking store nearby (like REI), you could get a Nalgene wide mouth water bottle of the appropriate size.

I think he's talking about sharing small quantities with friends for testing loads. Whatever container is used, it should be CLEARLY marked with appropriate identifying information. As soon as the powder leaves the manufacturer's container, it starts looking pretty generic.

I just mark a small baggie(sandwich size) and put some in it. Never had any trouble.
                  Do not overthink it.
