    SS media tumbling additive?

Is there any additive you guys are using in the wet media for keeping brass shiny? When I used the vibratory, a dab of nufinish seemed to help maintain the brass finish. But upon looking at fresh wet tumbled cases(1/8tbl lemonshine+1tbl dawn) VS cases I converted a month ago, I was surprised. Same LC brass, stored in Tupperware & dry area.

    Any suggestions?

Mine do the same thing. People will say try rinsing or tumbling with cold water. I have tried a lot. I am actually considering buying a vibratory tumbler to polish the completed ammo in.

If you figure it out, make sure to post it up.

My brass largely does the same thing, even stored in ziplocs and out of sunlight in climate control.

I use the Lemishine after I clean the cases in Dawn and rinse thoroughly. I take them out after 15-20 minutes and rinse again. Some .45acp cases looked just like yours, and some 9mm stayed shiny. Go figure. I got this technique from another thread on this subject. You could tumble them like some do here after loading. I really don't care as long as they shoot.

just a little oxidizing.. nufinish leaves a thin film that keeps it shiny. SS leaves it squeaky clean and exposed to air.

I use a little more Limishine and towel dry after rinsing.I had that same issue before as well and ended up sending them through another tumble for about 1/2 hour with clean solution.
