Need mentoring on a RCBS LAM2

I recently purchased a LAM 2 and i'm haveing a very hard time setting it up and i'm getting a lot of lube under the cast boolits that i'm makeing.
Anyone in the San Diego area that could come over and school me on how to work this tool ?
I will buy the beer of your choice and throw in some lead ingots or some 38 special brass for your help

I'm in the San Carlos area

    Thanks, Steve

Are you using a heater? Seems that you may have to much pressure due to lube feed cranked down to much. Rifle or pistol bullets? Gas Check molds?

Not useing a heater, Has Ben's red in it right now and its preety soft. If i only use a slight amount of preassure it wont fill the grooves but still gets on the bases of the 40s, 45s and 308s with a gascheck i've tried them with.

Have you adjusted the press to limit the upward and downward movement of the boolit? When I have lube where it shouldn't be, it is due to adjustment, temp, or pressure on lube. I have the LAM I, but I think they are almost the same.

I use White Label Cred and have to use a heater. Too much heat will make the lube ooze out, with even a little pressure. Not enough heat and it takes too much pressure. My lube is hard to deform with your fingers when at room temp. I think I have heard of people slightly warming the boolits first, if it is real cold where you are.

Post back what you have done so far.

Have you checked out the Castboolits forum? There is a section just for lube. It puts calguns to shame for this type of specific cast boolit info, although a number of us here do cast and also use that forum as well.

Yes i have done all of the above, Tried heating it yesterday and measured from the top of the die to the lube holes and set the depth acordingly to the lube groves in the boolets, even checked the lube level, the Bens red is from the Castboolits forum "of which i'm a member under the same screen name" and is a fairly soft lube.
Just thought that i might find more local useres of the LAM that could help me out.
