So I did some massive testing today. Spent two weeks loading 322 rounds of various loads to shoot in 3 guns.
I saw some people had questions about 8208 and CFE223 specifically, so I did them in a 650 dollar gun and a 1600+ dollar gun.
Also did CFE223 in 308 using 175gr SMK. Look at data below. Pressure signs creep up fast. Load light and work up.
I did not show the 150gr FMJ shots in my 308...They were horrible. My gun just doesnt like them. Best group was just over an inch with 8208XBR @ 42,9gr w/ a best load range of 42.6-43.2gr. With 4895, best group was 1.30" @ 41.3gr. Might try some heavier loads. I was really light on 4895 for whatever reason. Benchmark...Best group was 1.3" with a potential load developing around 41.6-41.9gr.
I will be sticking to 175gr, but I might try 168gr and some 155gr SMK or work up a load with a hunting boolit...I also want to try 110gr if I can get a hold of some.

* Benchrest off bipod and sandbag
* Optic used in all 3 firearms: Vortex PST 4-16x on PEPR mount

1. Varget - best group 0.32" @ 44.3. Best load range: 43.5-43.8. Previous OCW testing showed nodes somewhere around 44-44.3 also.
2. CFE223 - best group 1.45" @ 45.4. Had a flyer in each group.... Pressure signs @ 46.6gr. Going to see if a load develops around 45.7-46.0. Might also try between 44-45.1gr on next outing.
