Just bought a Giraud trimmer in .223 from Ebay. Can't wait to use it! I had ordered a new one from Giraud but they won't ship until the 28th of January. So I found this one and will have it by the 13th. Looking forward to speeding up my least favorite part.

I hate you!
Actually I only started collecting Milsurps 3 years ago. I think I might own about 24...They're cheaper than guns that will most likely never get the opportunity to kill somebody...

Mine finally got here on Monday. How much did you pay for it?Comment

I ended up paying $440 for it. So no deal on it by any means, but I don't have to wait until January 28th for it now. So, to me it was worth it. I called Giraud and they said they would still warranty it if anything was wrong and I also have the 14day money back guarantee through Ebay if it was defective. So I should see it here in the next few days. Good thing because I have a 1,000 once fired 223 cases to take care of. Looking forward to running into the only known issue of the Giraud...running out of cases. lol.Comment

For those who have one:
How many reloads can you get since it trims based on the neck (and stretching happens nearer the case-head, where you get shine from resizing)?
(An old-school-reloader stated to me that he has friends that have reloaded .223 brass like 22-24 times before pitching it...IF trimming via total case-length.)Last edited by the86d; 11-06-2013, 8:41 AM.Comment

you will have to F/L size your cases before you trim, so the brass is going to get worked no matter what. For those who have one:

24 reloads? sounds like some annealing is involved, and is this from a SA or a bolt gun?Last edited by Germz; 11-06-2013, 2:05 PM.Retired AccountComment
