Thanks, I'll be charging with a Redding 3BR measure, now just need to get some dies, powder, primers, bullets. Yea good luck with that. I'll be loading for
      an M1.

I just loaded up 60 rounds of .30-06 last weekend on my Lee classic cast turret press, no problems. I have also loaded .303 and 7.5x55 Swiss on it as well. I just remove the indexing rod and rotate the turret manually for sizing, priming, then bullet seating.

Since you are loading for a Garand, make sure you are loading to Garand specifications and not using generic 30-06 loads!

Hornady's reloading manual has a section specific to the M1 Garand. There are lots of powder choices but the two most common powders used seem to be H4895 and IMR4064. Stick to the slower burning powders and you will be fine.

I just picked up the ported gas plug from Garand Gear which will allow you to shoot any 30-06 round in the M1 Garand without harming your OP rod. Once you install it, you can use any powder that will work in 30-06 (even the faster ones).

My Garand load is 47grs of IMR4895 with a 147-150gr bullet. Remember the Garand was designed around what is now IMR4895 powder and a 147-150gr bullet.
A 30cal will reach out and touch them. A 50cal will kick their butt.

You can use any large rifle primer, but you should use one of the harder ones, like CCI #34, or CCI #200 (some think that's too soft for an autoloader, but I've not had a problem). Tula primers are a good choice, and Winchester will do. Federal and Remington are on the softer side, so maybe avoid those for your autoloaders.

I use CCI #34 and #200 in autoloaders without issue.

For my Garand loads, I use IMR 4895 or IMR 4064 powder, but there are other options.

The LCTP will do any round up to and including .460 Weatherby. I've done a few 7.62x54R's with it. Lots of clearance.
