      Ordered! I did not receive a E-mail notification from MidwayUSA about this product being available. Went to my account notifications on the website and saw that it arrived. Thanks for letting me know here.

        My Varget stash is getting kinda low. Hard to buy another round when I have 2 fresh 8 jugs of IMR4895/H335.

          a little expensive. will pass. thanks for the heads up though.

          recob and 3rd gen sells it cheaper when they have it in stock. I got mine for around $21/lb.

            I've never understood the fascination with varget. is it like the equivalent of trail boss for cowboy action or something?

                Varget, 8208XBR, Benchmark, H4895, CFE223, H335, IMR4895, 748............they're all pretty much gtg.

                Its really up to your firearm and the complete combination of all your components and skills to figure out which one your rifle works best with.

                I think for most people, Varget is one of those powders that just works well with A LOT of different firearms and is fairly temp stable. That's the fascination. That is one of the nirvana's loaders would like to have is one powder that shoots ragged holes in most, if not all rifles. For me, so far, 8208XBR and Varget are two powders that are doing it for me. Going to be trying Benchmark, 748, 4895, CFE223 and see if i can work up loads to work in my 308 and 223.

                  That's the big reason. Very temp stable and a fast burning powder. Also does well with a few popular calibers and weights.

                    I'd be interested, please on an update on how long it took you to receive the powder. My understanding is Midway does not actually stock the powder but ships from stock allocated by and from the manufacturer. I made the mistake of ordering some Ramshot from them and it took forever and a day.
                    Like to know if this has changed.

                      From Midway
                      Attention!
                      Due to extremely high demand for smokeless powder, shipping times have been extended. PLEASE NOTE: Powder ships separately approximately 4 to 6 weeks after order is placed. $27.50 Haz Mat plus $9.99 Shipping fees apply. Powder cannot be returned, 48 lb max, ground freight only, adult signature required. Sorry no shipments to HI or AK.
                      1lb = $26.49 + $27.50 + $9.99. Jeez.

                            Why would anyone buy only 1 pound of powder online?
