    Ammo shipping

I was wondering...what does it entail to ship ammo in CA? For example , if I were to buy some factory ammo from the classifieds, what would the process be for either myself or the seller? Are there any additional fees, stamps, or restrictions? Thanks!

I believe you also need to take it to their local hub, they will not p/u at your home and you cannot drop off at one of the "stores".
        Sorry, not sorry.

This makes sense because I went to two stores and they would not ship it.

Also at the hub if they feel like it doesn't have enough ORM-D stickers on it or whatever they'll just slap a bunch of them on there. My local UPS hub's always been very cool about it.

I think some of the labeling requirements change on the first of the year but it shouldn't be any big deal.

Same here in the San Jose UPS hub. They are cool with shipping ammo. Just have to put enough stickers on the box.

Orm-d is being phased out. End date 12/31/13.

DOT has new Striped Diamond Shipping Labels for loaded ammunition. New Diamond Labels will replace ORM-D small arms labels. Diamond Labels phased in during 2013 and mandatory in 2014.
