I'm going to be loading up some 115 rn plated from xtreme with Unique but my lee book has no data for plated or lead using Unique. All it has is is for jacketed is start 5.1 and max 5.5. If I use the mid jacketed data it doesn't leave a lot of room to work with. Alliant's website lists max fmj at 6.3. Does anybody have lead or plated data?

When I went over like 5.2 grains of Unique, I was getting what appeared to be unburnt powder flakes all over the place from my M9@ 4.9". 5.0 grains was my happy place with plated 115gr projectiles. I also liked 5gr of Unique with 124gr plated, but didn't mind backing off to 4.7-4.8 at all. I have used Berry's, and X-Treme's plated with Unique.
I worked up to like 5.8 with 115gr plated, but like 4.9-5.0gr in just about everything. I think after I get my 4lbs of Ramshot Silhouette that is on order, I might work up a load from scratch... again, but it isn't Unique.

I use 6.0 grain of unique under an xtreme 115 grain round nose...
Max is 6.3 and that's only because the case will over flow thenComment

5 grains of unique is a pretty light load and only nets me 1100 fps. I shoot 5.5 grains unique with 115 rn's seated to 1.13", which I would consider a mid range load that gets me 1170 fps avg. xtreme bullets have a little bit thicker plating, so you don't have to worry about pushing the velocity envelope too far.
I'd start at 5 grains and work your way up to 5.6 or so and see what your gun shoots best and stick with that load.Comment

For my G17, with the components you have I load to 5.2 grains at 1.15", seems to be accurate and cycles well.Comment
