    Dillon 45lc case crease

I just got my new Dillon 45lc carbide die set and I ran a couple cases through the sizer/deprimer. All of the cases came out with a pretty deep crease in the case.

I ran a set through my rcbs 45lc carbide die sizer and it doesn't exhibit the same creasing.

I only found a couple people on the net quite a few years ago complaining about this, but there wasn't much info. Going to call Dillon tomorrow to see if this is fixable/replaceable.

Anybody else run into this issue?

What were they shot out of previously ?

On 45LC they have older specs for older guns and newer tighter specs for newer guns.( then they do make newer guns with older specs replicas mostly)

If it is a set of dies made to newer specs and they were fired in a gun with older specs you may see that problem rear its ugly head.

Happened when I was reloading for a Ruger Blackhawk after firing out of a Colt Trooper.( they were not loaded to the same level)
Bweise says "I have to say the situation was not at all helped by 22 yr old former Airsoft douches who kept touting here, "But possession is not illegal!" "

They were fired out of a ruger Blackhawk. So both should be the newer spec.
I'm also guessing the shells are no longer usable since I'm sort of afraid that I could get head separation.
Luckily I only tried it on a few.

just out of curiosity, if you already had the RCBS carbide set (I use the same one) why would buy the Dillon set as well.

I am gearing up to setup another press and I liked the 9mm Dillon dies I had.
At this point I'm liking the rcbs carbide set better

Finally got around to writing Dillon support. Just told them what was stated here with no pics, and immediately got an rma number.
Sent in die set, and Dillon just took out the bad die and dropped in a new one and sent it back.
New one works great, no creases.

Interesting that the Dillon die still sizes down more than my rcbs die.

              Thx all for input.
