7.7-8.1gr of HS-6
180gr TMJFN
1.120 OAL
Light taper crimp
GLOCK 22/27 w/ stock barrels
Here are the starting and max charges from my manuals:
Speer Manual: 7.3-8.2
Lyman Manual: 6.9-8.0
My powder charge goal was 7.7gr but sometimes my powder measure would creep up the charges to 8.0-8.1gr. After the first 10rds I caught onto the higher charges and dialed in the powder measure again to 7.7gr and it didn't move after that. So at the most I have about ~10rds that are around the 8.0-8.1gr threshold. I didn't dump them and recharge because they're still within the acceptable range in my Speer manual.
The brass is a mixture of once/twice fired and I used the buldge buster on every one of them. I started freaking myself out last night reading about the dreaded unsupported chamber on Glocks especially in .40. I'm just worried about the ones that got up to 8gr being too much for the chamber to contain.
Anyone want to chime in about their HS-6 & .40 loads? Are my loads still safe for a Glock?
