Dillon 1050 in 38 special tip

I own a few Dillon 1050 presses. My recent purchase was a 1050 in 38 special. The problem I was having was the case feeder was not keeping up with me. The cartridge case plate was marked "small pistol". I switched it out with a "large pistol" plate and now it keeps up. The only problem is that once in a great while, a case will not drop completely and then the plate catches it and stops from turning. Just a small problem I will deal with. I am pleased that it keeps up with me now.

I tried calling Dillon to talk about the problem, but I was put on hold and was 27th in que. Screw that!

Did you add the spacer?? Its required with some pistol calibers?

Welllllllllll, there was no spacer that came with it. I think I will send them an email. Beats the heck out of calling and waiting 60 minutes to talk to someone.

Yea it looks like. Huge wAsher... Over 1/8 inch thick... Tell them you never received one. They should just send it to you.... If not i have one i can spare

dont know if the dillion's actual shell plates are similar to the Hornady (i know you can use either in a case feeder but the hornady plates dont require a spacer) but I use my Small rifle for .38 Special and .357, just adjust the opening where the case drops

Or this is another option... I have to do this with 300 blkout...

The spacer is because the case are so long that they get top heavy going up the case feeder. The spacer gives it just enough space to hold them until they fall... Also then being able to keep up with the user
