    New Ammunition Search Engine

Hello everyone, My name is Dane Harvey and over the past few months I have been developing a new ammunition search engine website. Due to ammunition shortages and price gauging, we have developed a new site which lists ammunition from top online ammo retailers. This makes it easy to compare ammo prices all on one site rather than having to hit each retailers website and check there. This also makes it easier to locate hard to find ammo. We know there are a few other sites out there that do the same thing, however those sites are a little out dated and cumbersome to use. At AmmoSpy.net our goal is to make finding ammo as easy and fast as possible. Since we are new, we are currently only tracking a few of the popular online retailers, but are currently working on adding more retailers each day. Also we are very open to hearing your feedback. If you have a suggestion or find a problem, let us know ASAP and we will be on top of it. If your interested, check us out at ammospy.net.

    Things to come:
    - Adding reloading supplies
    - Magazines
    - BCG's
    - Upper and Lower Receivers.

If OP ever comes back, how far along on the reloading supplies are you?

I like your interface better than Gunbot. I compared and you are both reporting basically the same numbers so I guess it boils down to features and usability.

The ability to input a specific caliber with a price threshold and then have your website e-mail or text out notices would be killer.

        Good luck

This is something that we have in the works as well as email notifications on out of stock ammo that is found in stock. This will be coming soon and isnt difficult to implement at all.

My favorite website is gun-deals.com, only because it has a shipping calculator as well to factor in the total cost per round.

Would it be possible to implement that?

Does the system automatically take the item away if its out of stock?

I do appreciate the FPS in the search. That is a great idea.

Ill have to check out the way that gun-deals.com does it exactly and go from there. It does remove the ammo when its no longer in stock, everything showing is in stock. FPS is a nice touch but a lot of the listings dont have it so there is a lot showing n/a but it is what it is i suppose

EDIT: I have the ability to get more of the FPS's found, but in order to not use up so much bandwidth on the retailers website I try not to crawl any more extra pages than needed. But if demand is high enough I may go ahead and have the crawlers try a little harder to get the FPS.

We have just recently added a couple more retailers. We are going to start adding as many as we can over the next few weeks. Ide like to ensure that we have as much ammo as possible so that no search returns empty. All in due time. Please leave more feedback guys if you like the site. Thanks for all the support so far! You guys are great!

Very nice clean site. Is there a way to search specifically by ammo manufacturer? For example, in a search for 7.62x39 it is helpful for us in So Cal to only look for non-bimetal jacketed ammo like Prvi or Fiocchi produce (Wolf, Brown Bear, etc. all use bi-metal jacketed ammo). Also it is helpful because Prvi and Fiocchi are reloadable.

We will be adding "manufacturer" to the search soon due to multiple requests. We'll make that our next priority.
