    Pre-finished Maple Bench tops

    Just passing some information along.

Got an email from Woodcraft showing nice Maple Bench Tops on sale.

Thanks for the info. Great price. Just wish they had 120" on sale. These tops are great for reloading benches!

      Cool. Actually, way cool.

I have two Woodcraft tops on my Bench's.

However, in looking at these I see they are two inches thick?

vs the one inch thick that I bought at Lowe's for considerably less.

I layered mine over 3/4 inch plywood.

Get nothing but positive compliments on it.

The one's at Lowes are unfinished, I applied a Marine Varnish on mine.

      Hard as nails.....

I used laminated kitchen counter from Home Depot. It was cheap and durable. I believe it came 3/4" thick and then I laid another 3/4" plywood under it. I screwed the plywood to the countertop from underneath. It came out solid as rock. Zero movement even in the portion without cabinets under it.

Trust me, it doenst look like that any more. That was right after I remodeled my garage. It's covered in junk and the wall has posters on it now.

              Hey XDRoX.

I've got the same cabinets and hardware (handles) you do. Bought them at HD and almost went the laminate route as well.

If I were to stay in California I'd expand the loading room to capacity. Headed to Az. next Summer so it really does not make sense (Cents)
to follow through with that plan.

I put a roller cabinet Tool Box in the open section.

                      Butcher block table

Hey, I have a 3 ftx6 ft 2 inch thick maple butcher block table that I have been trying to sell for less than that. Can't even get someone to look at it. Maybe someone in the Fresno area needs a new top for the their bench. Or watch your local adds for an old table to use the top off of.
