    Ammo storage question

I finally decided it was time to get my ammo stored neatly and more importantly, securely. I ordered (24) .50 caliber surplus cans, caliber specific stickers for the outside, and a Stack On double door cabinet to get things in order. It will be out in my garage which is not temperature controlled (I know not ideal, but two gun safes in the house is all I am allowed). My question is, do I need / should I have any kind of dehumidifier in the cabinet? Thank you for your recommendations

No, the cans are sealed. You could put desiccant in the cans if you wanted but you will probably be opening them often making it ineffective.

Most people just storage ammo in the factory boxes on a shelf. Simple as that.

I am hoping that the a Stack On a Gun Cabinet secured to the wall and floor in my alarmed garage will be adequate. It will be way, way better than having it thrown on shelves out there.

That will be plenty secure provided you remember to lock it up after adding or taking out the ammo cans.

            Short answer is no.

Those ammo cans you ordered should have a rubber or neoprene gasket on them. If not, it is not hard to get some gasket material and cut some up. Or you can do the cheapo thing like I have done and use some duct tape and very thin foam.

ammo is kinda sealed is it not? No you do not need a desicant for ammo.
