I'm on my second round of reloads. The first 20 that I loaded at mid powder loads worked great. I wanted to try some variations, so I loaded at the starting powder load for the second round. They shot great as well. Accurate and cycled the 1911 perfectly. The brass only ejected a foot or two away from me, which did make pick up easy, but is a lot shorter than using factory ammo.
As long as the ammo is accurate and cycling properly, is there any reason I shouldn't load at the starting powder load? I don't have a chrono to test the fps.
Here was my load
Xtreme 230 gr copper plated bullet
4.2 gr Win231
1.248 oal
