    who uses trim dies

I'm new to reloading and yesterday started making some 30-30 to sight in my rifle. I'm using a rcbs trim die, and thought I'd beable to set it where I want. But apparently it has to hit the shell holder and the smallest I can trim the 30-30 brass is 2.0305. When spec calls for 2.0295. I know its not much but if there is a certian spec, I'd like to hit it...

    Is this typical?

I figured I would be. Just wish it would trim to the right spec. I do like the process of the trim die vs needing a lathe and extra special shell holders to make it work, and no tinkering to get your trim length. Filing doesn't take long at all.

Hell you can even see if they need to be trimmed or not. I had a lot of short brass going through the 38pc I had
