    input on the caseing

    Hi Calguns members.
Just had a question about the different types of "brass" used in bullets. I was wondering what the big difference is between brass and aluminum. does one ware the gun more than the other? I can get CCI Blazers (Al jackets) for about $10 for 50rounds or I can go to Wally world and pick up Winchesters with brass jackets for about $20 for 100 rounds. I just use these for the range. Kind of like the CCi better because it is cleaner than the Winchester. TIA

The aluminum casings cannot be reloaded.

Not sure on the relative wear they put on your firearm.

Well, they can be reloaded but, it's not easy. You need a couple special tools and berdan primers to do it. To put it simply, it's not worth reloading them.

Ah, yes, I forgot about the berdan primers.

I've seen some writeups on reloading Wolf steel cases. I don't think they're supposed to be worth the effort either.

This is the point where you either go buy lots of reloads from gun shows or you have everyone here tell you to start reloading your own.
