I just posted this on another thread about SS media cleaning . . .

My wife has a dryer with a rack inside she uses to dry sweaters and other clothing that she doesn't want tumbled. I set the wire basket inside on the rack and manually set for about an hour. I give the wire basket a shake every now and then, helps a bunch. Oh. be careful and bungie down the wire basket so the handle doesn't get caught on the drum baffles. It'll spill the brass inside the drum and you won't believe the racket.

      BTW: shhhhhhh, she doesn't know.

If your pressed for time i could see doing it but if you can wait over night i would suggest just air drying it
I seriously doubt that had anything to do with heating brass to dry it. A blown primer points to one thing: over pressure load. Old brass loaded too many times will fail, but when we use a blowtorch to anneal brass, I don't think a hair dryer or oven is going to hurt it. Dry it in the sun -- cheap and easy.

Shake the water out of the brass by hand. I grab 2 cases a time and flick my wrist. Put the brass on a towel. Roll the brass on the towel with the palm of your hand. Dump the brass on the carpet. They will be dry in a couple hours.
