    0.22LR Storage

Looking for storage boxes that will allow .22 ammo to be removed from bulk storage and separated into individual units. Any ideas where to acquire these?

Looked on eBay and even used items are fetching substantial prices.

    Thoughts...??

All ammo around here is stored in their orig. boxes inside metal ammo cans---easy to move---built-in handle---sealed from water damage and stored in cool, dry basement with cans on top of a layer of bricks just in case water gets into the basement. All ammo cans clearly labeled as to contents...

+1 on ammo cans with desiccants, or you could always keep it at my house, bit i can't promise its security.

Amazon has some .22LR ammo boxes, the Smart Reloader box hold 100 rounds and is $9.15.

they have rims maybe you could rig up some kind of channels you could drop them in and shake they would line up bullet down like an old nail belt or various speedloader designs individual pockets for 22lr seems excessive but i wish you luck with your micro grid design

maybe you could cut some cardboard into little interlacing grids

or some vacuformed bubble packages like certain specialty ammo places use

This is your answer. I discard them every time I go. As do others. It will be a hit or miss process.
Or put something in the WTB section

5 CCI 22 Long Rifle Empty Plastic Ammo Box Ammo Tray, $22.69, 8 bids.

Apparently the new & common caliber boxes in half dozen batches seem to be the ticket. The old paper boxes don't appear to be getting much attention. I saw an entire, 1,000 round pistol caliber case that included everything sans the cartridges that was getting some high bids.

And I still work for a living. Silly me.
