    Where To Buy Powder

I see that powder is starting to show up on line but paying the $27.50 for hazmat makes it very costly. I've called all the gun stores in Co Co County and only one has powder but not what I'm looking for.
Where is everyone buying powder right know?

I only buy on-line. Price per pound is less and if you order a bunch it spreads out the hazmat fee. I always recommend a healthy par level anyway, gets one through these panics.

Powder is still very hard to come by ... Even online. All my LGS are out of powder. Primers are in the same boat.

If you don't mind driving a bit the gun range on Watt in North Highlands usually has powder in stock. I just got some IMR4227 and IMR4895 yesterday. I think they limit you to 2 lbs of each powder, so I could have bought 2 lbs of IMR4227 and 2 lbs of IMR4895.

I'm loading 9mm & 40 S&W. I currently have about a pound of Winchester AutoComp and would like to get some more or 231. I know, don't hold my breath. I am open to other powders that will work for each.

I did pick up some Accurate No5 for some pistol loads from there last week.
Their number is (916) 972-1484, if you want to call and see what they have in stock.

                    Try watching here closely: http://www.gunbot.net/reloading-supplies/powder/

Powder is hard to come by. You will have to buy in bulk. The only way to do it now until the LGS's get re-supplied. It may be Months away.

For 231 use Hodgdon HP-38. Gamaliel had it in stock yesterday.

You have to understand that some people feel sharing places that have powder in stock is like sharing your favorite BLM spot. I am, unfortunately for you, that person . However PM me and I will share my resources there.

BassPro in Manteca has been getting it in but you never know what they'll have day to day. The usual mail order places will get in an order from some supplier and they'll have a ton of options from one company for a day or two and then it will be gone. Might take a few orders to get everything you might want.

Some companies like Powder Valley will post on their facebook page things like "We received a Hodgdon shipment. It is very small so the items won't last long. A few primers are in stock also." and then there's a giant feeding frenzy. Lasted a couple of hours judging from the comments.
