    Help ID this ammo

    I am trying to figure out what kind of ammo is in these crates. Ammo gurus chime in! Thanks in advance.

    A picture of the cartridge's headstamp will help.

          Not much to go on, but I'd guess the top one is 8mm Mauser.

                  Top one is good ol' 50s Yugo 8mm. I will WAG that the bottom one may be 7.62 Tokarev type ammo.

                      Like earlier post said "headstamp photo" would be most useful, unless the crates are empty and you're just curious as to original contents.

                      +1 top photo is Kraut 8mm; and leaning towards 7.62X54 for bottom photo b/c most 7.62X39 has usually been packed and shipped in "spam cans". Do you have any of the original ammo left? If so, please post a few images including the headstamp. Just my $0.02
