How is this crimp for 45acp?

Trying to get the die adjusted and I just don't know what to look for. Case diameter is .472-.475 on 5 test rounds

It should only be taking out the bell you added to the case. The case diameter at the mouth should be the same as the web when you are done.

Just saw the pictures. You need to crimp more.

        +1 on way too light..

It should look just like factory ammo after you crimp

Also, there is no need to over expand cases, just needs to be enough to accept the bullet.

Looks like it still has a visible bell or flare.

          Does it feed & chamber?

Time to screw your die down a bit.

Haven't tried that yet, will do now.

No primers or powder so it'll be safe.

Trying to, if it wasn't for the people of this forum I'd be lost.

Hopefully I pop my cherry and get some actual rounds done tonight.

That a Berry's? I had to bell my cases more and crimp lighter than with FMJ, because I was wrinkling the plating. That one looks just right.

The only way to check crimp is with a case gage.

Agreed. My Wilson gauge gets a workout every time I load.
