So i just got a batch of 556 once fired brass and started to process it for reloading... I noticed that the rim diameter was only measuring at .355 not a normal .375 anyone know what may cause the problem? why is the rim diameter measuring so small? I am not even going to load this it may cause some FTE....

Ummm.....
How is re-sizing going to affect rim diameter?
To the OP: I really wouldn't worry about it. I don't know what's going on; it could be a problem with your instrumentation, or maybe you've measured where the extractor caught the brass, who knows? That being said, 2 hundredths of rim diameter isn't a whole lot to worry about.

I do resize everything... i am no noob when it comes to reloading. I just happen to measure the rim of the brass and found the problem never seen if before so i figured i would ask on here. When zombies come alive... I am ready are you?

Well, .020 is not a minor dimensional error. .376 is the standard head diameter as well as the case body diameter. A .355 diameter would certainly contribute to non extraction in some rifles.
You may need to go through and measure the entire lot and cull out the cases with the undersized rim diameter. Things like this do happen when manufacturers are busy cranking out billions of rounds to satisfy demand.Comment

.020 I can feel it with my hands.... yeah its a huge difference... even slips right out of the shell holder....When zombies come alive... I am ready are you?
