The best HD ammo is the one you've run through your blaster over and over again, and every one goes boom. In 9 I run Golden Sabre +P in my G26 and Winchester Ranger in my 92FS. In 45 I run Golden Sabre.

In opinion for the money the Golden saber is hard to beat.
        I love the 185+P in 45

          Black Talon

How about the Black Talon on .40? What do you think of that round?

            Question

Which ammo is the most accurate? If you think you have the best for your guns and have more than one to pick from, it would seem to me that you've already decided they are more than adequate for the job. But since each gun is particular and unique in what it likes, I would pick the most accurate for each one and go with that.

            Just my thoughts.

Buy any premium social ammo and make sure it runs in your gun without any stoppages.

If you are worried about which is the best or to live on the difference between all the good stuff you are just wacking it.

One shot stops are for the movies shoot them until they stop.

Lets say that sxt is better than gold dot. The BG gets hit in the same place if sxt lets him bleed out in 14 seconds and gold dot takes 16 seconds then he still had 10 seconds to do you harm.

I move slow but I make up for it by shooting poorly.

When I hit the lotto I'm only shooting factory.

                  Winchester SXT

Aren't Winchester SXT bonded? The great thing about Black Talon's is that the round is not bonded like modern bullets.

I just ran across this last night. According to the tester, the argument of caliber is largely moot using today's modern bullet designs.

                      Quoting Mr. Ayoob...

If you simply want to know the best defense load, go out and buy: 12 gauge 2 3/4" shell 00 buckshot. You shall live happily ever after, as this is the most effective man-stopping firearm cartridge yet devised by man. I recommend the Federal "Classic" (F127-00), Winchester Super-X (X12RB5) or Remington Buckshot (SP12BK-5PK00) as the best double-ought buckshot defense rounds. One of these rounds is virtually equal to a nine-round burst from a submachine gun, with every round hitting.

Man, all this time and effort could have been spent at the range practicing good shot placement.
