Hey guys I'm having trouble finding powder. I have a few lbs of IMR 4895 but can't find data for a 350 gr RN I've tried hodgons, hornady, and my Nosler manual. Any help is appreciated. I'm shooting this out of a 1895 marlin guide.

Not sure where you were looking but
Hornady manual #3 IMR4895-44.7grs= 1400fps and max 56.9grs= 1900fps
Hornady Manual#2 IMR4895 44.3grs=1300FPS and max 50.6= 1600fps
Hornady Manual #1 IMR4895 same data as manual #2
All the above loads are with a Hornady 350 jacketed round nose bullet.
Hope that helps you out.---DougA 30cal will reach out and touch them. A 50cal will kick their butt.

I was just saying that i was looking for 4895 data in my new book and there was none. The old data will work just fine. Thank you very much. I loaded them with 56 gr 4895 with a magnum primer due to the cold weather i will be shooting them in. I dont know if the magnum primer will make that big of a difference.Good friends will come bail you out of jail. A best friend will be sitting next to you in the cell saying damn that was fun!Comment

Amen to that Brother!
I took my 1895 out the day I got it and the next day took it down to get a decent pad on it.
Makes it from an "Ouch" that was cool to an "AHHHH" that didnt hurt.Comment

Im doing so as we speak. Im gonna use the same load just with lrp. I had a problem with my seating die crushing cases last night. it crushed 6 cases. I guess im gonna have to clean up the case mouths better with my deburring tool. We are hunting wyoming this year and its going to be cold but im sure the lrp will work just fine.Good friends will come bail you out of jail.
