Klewan--My post only said he made a good choice and that had to do with buying RCBS NOT Dillon. You are the one who satrted throwing eggs. That seems to be what happens all too often with the lee users. Maybe because you feel a need to prop up your ego or a marginal product.
I see I guessed correctly that you are a lee user/person. That was just by your post.
I said nothing in my 1st post about owning or using Dillion. I did say that Redding dies are even better than RCBS.
Bluntly put you are either a newer reloader who has not found out the difference in quality and service comparing lee to anyone else or you are just a fool or living in a dream land about reloading.
Care to be honest and tell us how long you have been reloading? With lee stuff? Every used anything else? Every used a Dillon machine? How many different cartridges you load? How much do you shoot your reloaded ammo?
Myself: Started reloading in 1962 with a lee hammer type kit. They did not make anything else then. I also used their powder dipper kit.
I have loaded with RCBS/Dillon/Redding/Hornady/Lee/Pacific presses and dies. I have loaded shotgun/rifle/pistol and BP loads.
I have set up all of the above brands for others as well as myself.
I currently have 2 Dillon 650, 3 RCBS, 1 Hornady presses.
I load for over 35 different cartridges.
I only shoot my loaded ammo for hunting. I do shoot some mil surplus ammo I bought years ago but other than that everything I shoot is my loads. I shoot at least 2-3 times per month. Usually at least 6 times. Just preping for my Africa trip I ran thru slightly over 1000 test rounds in 5 rifles over my chrono.
So BEFORE you start climbing down my throat, "dissing" other than lee and especially Dillon brands or myself you need to step back and take a pause while you look in the mirror. You are headed down the wrong path with me and others. I have reloaded far too long, learned the hard way sometimes and make extremely good ammo with quality equipment to put up with comments like yours.
If you like lee then fine but do not knock others for their choice which are up the ladder of quality from what you use. We who use other stuff will not laugh at you-----Really.
If you cannot(or do not want to) play with the big dogs then just stay on the porch and stop barking.
