    Polycase Ammunition - Range Review

I finally got around to going back to range and shooting some of the ammo they gave me to test in January at SHOT Show. All in all, I was pretty impressed by them, and think they have a real marketable product if they can work out some of the bugs, and sell it for cheaper then brass/steel/aluminum cased ammo. Too bad the shortages of the other components (bullets, and powder) have halted their manufacturing line for the time being. I'd be really interested in checking out and testing some of the other calibers.

I am going to use this in my glock 7 to fool the metal detectors.

Looks interesting if they can make it cheaper than regular metal cases.
I know the military had looked at something simalure to reduce the weight of a soldiers battle load out.

Intriguing. Here's what I got out of that video

        Pros:
        accurate
        cheap factory ammo (eventually)

        Cons:
non-reloadable (plenty of steel and aluminum stuff sells though, so only a con for reloaders, not necessarily the company)
bullets falling out (probably a simple fix, different glue or process to crimp somehow)
lack of heat transfer. This is the only con I see that could be difficult to overcome. Heat has to go somewhere, high-volume shooting of polycased ammo would probably cause more wear and faster stringing due to barrels heating up.

Thanks for the videos, I hope this company fixes the glue problem and expands, I'd be interested to see how the market for ammo changes.

Very interesting! Sure sounds cheap for .380 factory ammo.

It'll probably take over everything in the future, but I've heard that before too LOL
