    Found a source for 7.62 x 39 brass

I stumbled across an ad for 7.62 x 39 brass thru gunbot the other day. The seller is Selway Armory in Montana and they are selling 1000 reconditioned (reamed/cleaned/sized/trimmed) for $180, plus shipping http://www.selwayarmory.com/7-62x39-...-of-1-000.aspx

Nothing on that ad claims that the brass is boxer primed (necessary for customary reloading). Unless you're sitting on a supply of berdan primers, maybe some further inquiry is in order.

Some surplus x39 casings are brass rather than steel. Check it out before you buy.

From the picture you can see the single flash hole so it must be boxer.

Plus I would be surprised if any American brass manufacturer made berdan brass.

The 1K that I received are Boxer primed. They are NOT Berdan.

Glad to be able to help. So far, I think I have told almost everybody,.... except my wife. She is still muttering about the accessories for the new PSA rifle.

Thanks for posting OP. Now I just need a money tree so I can get set up with a small stockpile of reloading supplies for each caliber.

Dang, that's really good. Folks with especially CZ 527's in 7.62x39 would probably love something like this. I've got some Top Brass .38 Special cases, and they've been just fine, so with proper care, these'd probably last a good while, too.

Nice find for sure! If I hadn't picked up 1k 6 months ago I'd be all over this. I don't need more brass, I don't need more brass, I don't need more brass! (Hey, I'm trying here)
