my first reloads... success!

Completed my very first batch of reloads this morning. Loaded 50rds of .40 and took them to the range this afternoon. All fired clean with the exception of only one- had a bad primer. I'll admit I was nervous as hell firing that first round, but I couldn't have been more pleased with the results.

Congrats!!! I just shot my first set of reloads last monday... I was nervious as ****!!! Welcome to reloading! I'm 3 weeks into it.. I never want to buy ammo again.

Good for you! It only gets easier and remember do not rush and keep an eye on that powder before you put that bullet on that brass and seat it. Enjoy the dark side ;-)

Congrats! I remember that first cartridge I reloaded (a 7mm Remington Magnum - a little over 30 years ago), bracing myself for the blast, explosion, impact. Then the satisfying POP of a normal shot!
