RCBS JR3 value. NIB Too.

Looking for a cheap single stage.

Have been offered a new RCBS JR3 press with everything factory, 9mm dies, and some bullet musing stuff. Only got pics of the press.

Price is $150. Seems pretty high to me. What so you guys think? For another $100 I can have a hornady LNL single kit AND get 500 bullets for a rebate.

Yep the price is a bit high. Are the Dies Carbide? That would close the gap and depending on what else it comes to. I would consider counter offering $120.00. The Jr3 is a good solid press for loading Pistol cartridges. However it dos not feature compound leverage and will require more elbow grease when loading bottleneck rifle cartridges. In the long run you may be happier with the Hornady or a Rock Chucker Press. Enev Lee makes a nice classic cast press.

Thanks for the info ^^ I was looking to get a cheap one to deprime rifle before I tumble and load in my progressive. Maybe ill pass.

$150 seems pretty close to retail (but it's been awhile since I priced anything)..depends what the accesories are. The RS3 works fine for bottleneck cases. Forming brass might be a bit much for it.

For just depriming you won't notice the difference between any of 'em.
