When did Big-5 start carrying reloading supplies

Walked into my local store to check on their 22lr situation and as always....sold out. I noticed a bunch of Winchester primer cases, (LR, LP, SR, SP) and did a double take. Was I in the right place? Yup, Big-5. Have they always carried primers? I've never seen them before. Price was not great at $45 but its been hard to find primers so I might buy a couple cases to hold me over for the rest of the summer. I have not been shooting because supplies have been hard to replace on my shelves.

I also scored some on sale Hotshot 7.62x39 (quality com-block ammo) for $7.50/20. Picked up 500 rounds. Price is not stellar by any means (0.37/r) but it is in the current price range for Hotshot ammo online so I saved on shipping. Its ammo worthy of putting in the SHTF ammo can. Now I can shoot the cheaper stuff at the range that I've been saving.

Big 5 here has had the primers for a couple of months. Not a great price but only 1.5 cents each over normal pricing.

Big 5 used to stock primers, powder, presses, & most reloading supplies back in the early 80's. Bought my first RCBS press from them.

wow very cool, I didn't start reloading (or even shooting) until the 90's. I hope they expand their inventory. Only one game in town selling supplies for 50 miles and they take full advantage of it. Nice enough place but a little capitalism is always good for guys like us.

I have been picking up primers at my local big5 since that's been the only place I could find them.

I've been doing the same thing. A little pricey but it's convenient and down the street from me.
