One can of powder on the bench at a time.

Keep your electronic scale on a completely different surface than your press. Leave it on all the time or turn it on an hour before using it. Recalibrate it often.

Headspace headspace headspace check it 5 times a week and wear a t-shirt that says headspace on it.If you don't you'll have to throw out 10,000 rounds of ammo.

Just out of curiosity why did you have to throw the primers away?

Water was in the cases before the powder and soaked the primers first. Primers were wrecked too. Was not worth the risk.

Tape a sample bullet to the boxes that look alike. I have 9MM10MM and 45 from Extreme in many flavors and weights, The visual aid helps in where to look.

Write calibers on blue tape for powders in storage.

Put load data on blue tape and paste it on the powder drop. If you use a progressive it helps when you change calibers to have it all set up to go while stored.

Write everything down and label everything!

Some powders compress and will throw a heavy charge

Throw 5-10 charges before resuming a session after a break

I put a factory round and one each of my loads for rifle rounds with info on the side with a sharpie into each die box. It is a good reference along with the info in my book. It also makes readjusting the seating stem easier when using different bullets. I just back off the stem, place the reference round in the press and run it up into the die then gently screw down the stem until it touches the bullet.
I also keep extra decap stems/pins for my dies. Then if I break one I do not have to stop until the factory sends one.

PRO TIP: ditch your lock rings and replace them with hornady lock rings.

Write the length on the side with a Sharpie. I actually like the Lee lock nuts better than the Hornady, RCBS or Lyman. I change mine out to them and use Lock-n-Load bushings in my press, makes dies changes a snap. JMO.

If loading flat base bullets into a rifle case, you may want to chamfer the inside of the neck more than just taking burs off. I smashed about ten shoulders of some of my cartridges with these.

If you need to resize cases with good (live) primers in them just move the decap stem up so it does not punch out the primers. If you mark the stem with a sharpie before moving it you will be able to return it to the original setting easier.
Never take out the stem to do the resizing as you need the ball by the pin to open the mouths to a uniform size

Bob, I'm in Yucaipa and most certainly have some Lee Die rings to trade you for any other locking rings you might have. I prefer the Forster (for the Co-Ax) but also really like the Hornady as well.

If you have none to trade I'll just give the ones I have to you. Thought I had tossed them but came across a few the other day. If you are interested I'll do a count for you.
