Others already addressed the crimp.
I'll address the primer, looks like you are putting a Military primer back in the hole. Military primers are much harder, IMHO too much harder than the rest of the primers out there.
When I come across a situation where I've not completely removed the crimp (some lots are more difficult than others) I just change to a softer primer vs re-swaging several thousand pieces of Brass.
As for shooting them, yeah, why not. If you find they are no good (not likely) then you can pull them apart. If you are really concerned just set these aside like another poster stated and fire them knowing what lot they are.
